Known affectionately as “The Granddaddy,” Pine Lakes Country Club holds the distinction of being Myrtle Beach’s first golf course, opening its fairways in 1927. Designed by Robert White, the inaugural president of the PGA of America, this historic course sits less than half a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. In 2021, Pine Lakes underwent a major renovation, featuring regrassed greens and enhanced bunkers with reshaped contours and fresh sand—blending its storied past with modern playing conditions.
